I'm so glad to see His dark materials finally been brought to life as a series. The movie was ok but this trailer gives me hope that the series will be quite close to the books.

Do you really want that? I mean I remember reading that, I don't like dissing on what other people like really I don't, but you gotte admit that trilogy is just weird.

So happy that Amazon saved, The Expanse and it will get to finish the story. It looks like it's going to be as fantastic as the previous seasons have been.

I am definitely looking forward to His Dark Materials and The Expanse. Since His Dark Materials will be on HBO I am hoping it will be a series and not some mish-mash of all three books.

@John Smith I honestly would've felt the same way had I not known the people working on it. I don't know if you watched Orphan Black, it was one of my favourite shows. The creators always had an end game and the show ended as they wanted it to, so I very much doubt they would drag us on a never ending story especially since there is a source material.

@Pierre LeDouche Tbh it looks they added some fancy drama to the reboot. I think the old Snowpriecer was exactly as brutal as it needed to be. The reboot is just an attempt to juice the franchise. Edit: The old version also had no sex scenes so obviously not sexy enough.

It is... because these days nobody is that nice anymore. To be honest... for the most part of that trailer I thought it was going to be about a serial killer. The sweetness of it was damn right scary.

Expanse S4 - DAMNIT! It's arrival being limited to Newtonian drives can't get it here fast enough. That touch of R R Martin's GoT theme while the Roci's touchdown....FFS IS IT HERE YET? Top Gun 2 - SURE! Why the hello not! :) The Witcher....i'm intrigued. As long as its continuity doesn't conflict too much (some is probably inevitable) with the books (have read the 1st...have yet to get the rest) ends at a point where that of games begin....WITHOUT contradicting things...looks promising.

So excited for the next season of the expanse

@Hardrock A great question, one I hope they address in the show. (Global warming has, historically, ping-ponged back and forth between the Ice Ages. That process is moving faster because of humans, but not fast enough to fit the timeline of the movie. Hopefully they have an interesting explanation.)

When the trailer started I was like "No.. Please No!", carried on watching thinking can't be Watchmen... then bang... Title came up 'Watchmen'... maybe wouldn't have minded if it actually looked like it was going to be good but looked cheap and terrible.

Snowpiercer looks to be a SJW remake of a good film made not too long ago and I'd rather watch the original than watch this...remake. Watchmen looks to have potential. Super excited for The Witcher, can't wait for this one! HollyWood needs to learn that if they cater to the "woke" crowd (AKA SJW) in their movies, most of us won't watch it. STOP MAKING REMAKES OF GREAT MOVIES.

What is it with films being made into series.... They do know most people actually watched the movies, so therefore will most likely know what the plot of whatever reboot series they're making! The Snowpiercer movies wasn't actually that bad.... so i'll be probably NOT watching a long drawn out series. Golden compass remake? Really?

Ahhh... why do a Snowpiercer reboot?? Hollywood clearly has lost all original thought. Also, I never understood why the train was always moving. Why not simply establish an underground city or similar rather than a stupid train with all the energy required to keep it moving and numerous hazards along the way??

Seems like you didn’t catch some of the stuff, time for a rewatch. The train runs on a perpetual engine, as long as it keeps running, it will keep going forever. He didn’t build an underground city because he didn’t have clearance to do so. Nobody knew the world was coming to an end, only wilferd did. If you build a doomsday city, you’d need a lot funding. You won’t get funding if everyone thinks you’re delusional. But the public could get behind the idea of a train that can travel around the world without need of an “energy source”.

Agree 100%, the Snowpiercer is a quality movie more people should watch and discuss not waste time remaking.

There's no more original thought left in Hollywood. One needs only to look at the numbers of sequels and remakes coming out. If you need original movies, look the small independent films, intelligently written, better stories by far.

Why is the future so poorly lit? Seriously why? Why are futuristic movies so dark? You can go to space but can't afford good lights? Come on!

Because cgi is very difficult to make look lifelike and dim lighting and 1-2 light sources is pretty much the only way to make it look good.

I can sit at home and pay Netflix and Amazon about $25 Australian a month and get fresh new high quality Sci Fi and Fantasy that has never been made before like Witcher, Good Omens, the Expanse, new Star Trek, new LOTR, WOT or I can go to the Cinema and watch the same old rehashed stuff long past it’s use by date. The Streaming services are running over the top of Hollywood because they are not scared of introducing something new and are able to nail it ,, Hollywood even when it does do something new they stuff it up. Movies like Valarian, Mortal Engines, The Dark Tower had so much potential and yet they were so underwhelming.

Just imagine a plot like Altered Carbon or Black MIrror been adapted by hollywood. They would screw up so bad.
