before the fight with Canelo, Bivol was not known, now he is very interesting!

I was following Bivol couple years ago then ever since, actually stumbled into his boxing videos. I knew he would give Canelo problems as it could go either way but had no idea he completely dominated. His last few fights before Canelo didn't look spectacular and workouts were basic which fooled a lot of people including many experts. I knew it was ridiculous when the betting odds was at 4 to 1.

Shame, that. Blame the American media. Never even heard of him until he was announced for the Alvarez fight. Obvious from this fight he had talent and skill from the outset and came into the Alvarez fight undefeated. Hope he gets his due now. Kind of had my head under a rock too. Hadn't really been back into following boxing until recently. Understandable. Nothing really has changed since I lost interest due all the politics hype and favoritism, but it's great sport and the combatants deserve respect. It's a hard road

Anre Ward is generally an anecdotal example, it was 168 that he jumped over to fight with Kovalev in 175, i.e. he did not perform at all in 168! He lost the first fight to Kovalev (and there was a scandalous decision), won the second (by the referee's strange stoppage of the fight after blows to the testicles) and both of these scandalous fights were finally at 175! That's why Canelo came to 168 for the absolute! There are no rivals there, and there never have been. Benavides, if he is anything other than a bearish strike force, he will also rise to 175.
