One of the most insane things about this video is the fact that the only pieces Hikaru even took the whole game were four pawns and a bishop

My thoughts as well, he broke one of the fundamental principles and it payed off big time, just goes to show the level of genius he is in this game

I mean, the more pieces on the board, the more corners to get the king stuck and begging for his life

Hikaru's main weakness back then was easily getting bored in longer formats and drawn endgames and 2. nervousness ... He has changed that in recent years , and he once(2-3 years back or so) was rated 3350 in blitz and 3550 in bullet of I'm not wrong

as someone who is around 300 elo and has played less than 50 games overall I have only had brilliant move circle show on a move of mine in game analysis only once... This guy got 6 of them in a single game. What a goat!

Not gonna lie Levy completely caught me with the alt tabbing, I was in the middle of Minecraft while thinking of a daily chess game move. Cool game, say what you want about Hikaru as a person but you absolutely cannot deny that he is one of the greatest players in this generation, and its cool that we're in a time where chess at this level can be accessible to people like me who are ~1000.

Levy gave me hope that I could become a player like these two in the second last phrase of the entire video and then proceeded to destroy it in the last one specifying "from the white side" and destroying every single particle of matter representing the serotonin given by the sensation of hope mentioned before

In my opinion, the amount of ELO gained during a game victory should depend on the moves. For example, if a player made 4 mistakes, he will receive less elo than a player who made only 1 mistake.
