    Lyrics
I'm out of my head, out of my mind, oh, I
If you let me, I'll be
Out of my dress and into your arms tonight
    Yeah, I'm lost without it
    Feels like I'm always waitin'
I need you to come get me
Out of my head, and into your arms tonight, tonight
Yeah, I don't mean to make you wait
Just the pressure's been gettin' heavy
I know if I fuck us up, we'll be over, done, you'll forget me
Forget me, I'm feelin' bad that I act this way, 'cause you let me
They call me king, but I know my queen will be there to check me
Last year, was runnin' 'round 45th lookin' for SoHo
Last night, was ridin' down Rodeo lookin' for no ho
It's crazy what can change in a year, think that you know though
Go back and forth like a yo-yo, they live their life for the photos

He was "only"in the flames for 28 seconds but to anyone who saw this, especially to Grosjean himself,it seemed like 28 minutes.I watched this and like everyone else believed it was too late.As the daughter of a motor racing driver now journalist,I've seen countless crashes but I think this was one of the most unbelievable.Yes,the Halo and protective clothing technically saved him but ,even though I'm not a believer, someone was watching over him.

When I saw the car split in two when he hit the wall. I thought no one along with just every team in the pits can survive that horrific crash and fireball. When I saw the driver get out and jump on the fence to safety, I was in tears. The road crew are amazing and also put their lives in danger in order to make sure drivers are Safe whenever there’s an accident. You are heroes. God bless the manufacturers who design every part of wear that all drivers utilize, you too are hero’s. My prayers to Romain for a speedy recovery, and to his wife and the entire Grosjean family, my prayers are with you. To all Drivers, pit crews and spectators. God was watching over every individual there. This is a very dangerous sport, and I wish all the safety in the world to have god continue to watch over you🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

@Hunter Dougherty Why are you so angry that someone believes in God? Would you like this person not to believe in God? And if so why? How does it effect you personally? You seem to be forcing your beliefs on others and isn't that what non-religious people accuse religious people of doing? Preaching their way of life on others? I believe in God, but I don't mind if you don't. Why do you mind if others do? You might think it's silly for someone to believe in God and those that do believe in God might thinks it's silly that you don't. So what? What's the problem? What's the issue? Do you preach your way of life on others and you're not happy until people believe what you want them to believe? Because if that's how you feel that's what is known as a religious fanatic.

As a longshoreman basically every safety measure and protocol we have in place is because somebody died. There are still aspects to my job that are blatantly dangerous, but nobody has died yet doing it that way so it stays that way. It’s pretty messed up.

Месяц назад
David Kim
David Kim

@jeff havel I completely understand. I think it's admirable what you did. My Dad would've fallen into the category of your past coworkers who still worked with guilty consciences. He worked for the feds, but I remember him telling me that one of his Muslim coworkers who was a contractor, was basically ignored by and bullied by other coworkers, because of the ISIS tensions back in 2015-2016. What made it worse was, he was working for the feds. At the time, I criticized my Dad for not standing up against it, since he had such a huge leverage at his job (my Dad was the principle engineer), but he made the excuse that he had to feed me and my sisters. I think people make all kinds of excuses in those situations, but those with true courage, despite facing difficult odds, still choose to do what is right. The repercussions may be great in terms of your career, but I don't have to be stressed out about work everyday, as did my father, due to his own decision to continually abide by corporate practices he, in reality, did not agree. For instance, I know of an Indian guy whose grandfather was a civil engineer in India. It was so corrupt in India at the time, the gov't officials threatened legal action, for not approving and signing off a flawed dam design. He said that his grandfather basically quit and emigrated to the US, because the police were threatening to kill him... I personally know of several college friends, whose fathers are Iranian or Iraqi engineers, and they all basically emigrated to the US due to persecution. Some of them still work in their fields, but some work in small minority businesses.

Месяц назад
jeff havel +1
jeff havel

@David Kim I totally agree, Corporate business practices have changed drastically in the last 30 years. that is why I and most of my friends got out and retired early 20 years ago. our company did not worry too much about being sued, the big comment always was "can you sleep at night", for many of us, that answer became no. it was not about safety. it was one day 20 of us got together and agreed we were stealing from the customer. we knew we were making a product that would not last a reasonable amount of time. one engineer stood up and said,"I will not put my name on this" 20 of us walked out that day. that product was never made. but I could sleep at night and today can say I am proud of the products I helped design. the blame does not belong on the non human corporations. the blame for the change, is on the lack of personal integrity of the people that work for them. but they say I need the job. then you are guilty of doing what you blame the cooperation of, putting money before integrity.

Месяц назад
David Kim
David Kim

@jeff havel Corporate business practices have changed drastically in the last 30 years. Before it used to be about not getting sued or fighting tooth and nail to deny liability. Nowadays, risk assessment of the product failure is already made after QC, and once the product is out, barring any significant design flaws like what happened with Boeing and the 737 Max, companies already have potential liability costs factored into their profits. One thing to note is that, such disregard for quality control generally falls on the management and board. Engineers themselves generally adhere to their moral standards. My father was a world renowned engineer in his field and it wasn't uncommon for him to be frustrated with management trying to push worthless projects wasting taxpayer money. I myself have had to deal with my former employer taking on federal projects they have no business getting into. You'd expect companies to have their expertise aligned, but most just try to land contracts first, then go hire the cheapest common denominators (a lot of cheap H1B contractors) to do the job...

@Mortal kombat gameplays In it's many different versions and interpretations, the bible has just as much misleading information as it does accurate information, provably so. Every claim must be assesed individually, nothing is true "because" it's in the bible. Reasonable people supress bias, fundamentalism rejects that notion. If truth is the goal, cognitive bias is not a virtue it is in fact a flaw, regardless of which source one subcribes to.

@Automatik It is just plain wrong attributing this to some imaginary person. Every single accident, injurie and death that there as been in racing and F1 has led to a situation that gave Romain enough time and protection to survive this crash. Thousand of hours have gone in to research development and improvements just so that when this happened he was able to get out. The crash helmet, and HANS device gave him enough protection so that from a massive 67G crash he was still conscience. One of the biggest improvements was the Halo system, which Romain criticised, saved his life when his car pierced the barrier. The fireball was survivable because of the fire proof suit which was improved that season. If this crash has happened the season before he probably would have got serious burns all over his body. Romain went through training on getting out of the car as quickly as possible and all the equipment he is linked to is designed to come off quickly in an emergency situation. The medial car was on the scene as soon as the accident happened. They have equipment onboard which heled save his life. Fire extinguishers were on hand straight away. Marshalls put themselves in danger to rescue Romain. The doctor from the medial can risked his life to grab Romain from the car. This was because of thousand and thousands of hours worked by scientists, engineers, doctors and regulators. Not because some wizard on a cloud waved his magic wand that day. Hard work brings you to where luck can find you.

No one is stopping you from wearing a fire suit and helmet when driving. No one is making you buy a new car when millions of cars that are 10-20-30 years old are still on the road running fine. If you're looking for something to be upset about there is a hell of a lot more than "wahh we don't get expensive race cars!"

F1 is multibilion in revenue, its a Racing Sports that attracts milions of viewers they milk on money and investors for advertising. Its in their interest to protect their most valuable assets - DRIVERS. Now back to real life cars are mass produced as cheap as possible with minimum safety requirements with P L A N N E D O B S O L E S C E N C E and the rest is left to competence of average driver.

That just made me think of one person. And only if Paul walker was able to walk out of an inferno like grosjean did. That would have been awesome.

@Eymanyouwell I dont mean the team would run for free, but the driver (most) would drive without expecting to be paid by the team, sponsors

@Troy Clark for free? In that logic sponsor money etc would not be possible, thus making it impossible to occur due to the insane cost of running an F1 car.
