Honestly I find it hard to believe that a UFC Champion "forgets" the rules ( to be fair he was concused and people make all kind of weird choices than but still it seems odd). Besides that I´m very happy the gave the strap to Sterling simply because if a champion can´t follow the rules he isn´t a champion. I mean one could argue that it is lucky for sterling to win the belt cause he just happend to be in the cage with Yan when he fouled him. But first of all he had to endure that foul and secondly if a champion does something else that is stupid (like trying to box against a kickboxer when you basically only ever won by arm bar ), the Titel still is passed although it is "lucky" the champ wasn´t as good as normal that given day.
