In my opinion a 1999 model Peterbilt 379 is one of the best years I drove one

Yes it's over priced by 115k! But, someone will pay it because it's better then these crappy plastic DEF SYSTEM trucks out now! Really it will come down to how much is someone willing to pay and how bad the person wants it.

There’s a ass for every seat I guess my 93 w900 should be worth 200k since it’s a full restoration lol good luck hope you get what you want for it. ✌🏼❤️

I remember a time when you could buy a glider kit and build your own. I miss the good old non communist days in America.

At the end of the day it's still a 1999 379 pet and it's over priced big time. Hell if you want to spend that kind of money go order you a new one.

@Brent Barclay ELD is only good as an employee where your employer is abusing you.

All said and done it's basically a brand new truck. To go with pre-def and no electronic logs which some might be looking for.

I will say first and foremost that is a super nice truck. However, I will say I believe these old trucks have gotten way overpriced, overrated and many people have blind folds on when it comes to the reality of this. I can remember as a kid, several trucks in the 90s and early 2000s when I started driving being in the shop about as much as they were driven. There has been good and bad trucks since they've been on the road. But what gets me is guys will pay 100,000 dollars over what a truck is actually worth just so they don't have emissions. No warranty, no coverage of any kind, so after they pay the price for the truck, do a full rebuild, they got 250,000 dollars in a truck that's realistically worth 45,000 dollars. I'm on my second X15, and I'll say on my first one, had no troubles at all in the 424,000 miles I owned it. Traded it for this 2023, same, great truck, and I have 4 year 500,000 mile warranty. I don't know, just some of this stuff today does not make sense to me, just my opinion. Having said all that, I think if someone is willing to pay the price for this particular truck in the video, I think it would treat them good.

@Dennis Aldrich Good for you Dennis. But, I dont have a plastic piece of shit, I have a 2023 W900L. And furthermore, I really don't give 2 shits if you agree with me or not, this is my opinion, you have your opinion and I respect that. Obviously you didn't read a word I wrote. I stated that I have had zero issues with the 2 emissions trucks I've had. I've had old trucks, and I spent a lot of time in shops and laying on my back underneath them on the weekends when I could have spent that time with my wife and kids. Been there, done it. And, my W9 is just as "cool" as any old truck out there, get several compliments a day on it. To add to that, I haul livestock, I do not require an eld, and I'm certain your old iron does look good man.

I drive an extended hood 359 it's a 1986 I would not take a new truck for free plastic pieces of shit the warranty is worthless because they're breaking down all the time you're waiting at the dealership you're not running you're losing money I bought new trucks every 3 to 4 years up until 2006 no more not to mention you have to do an ELD with that new plastic shit DEF is a headache I must say I totally disagree with you Plus the older trucks are just cool to drive I didn't buy it for fuel mileage I bought it because it's fun to drive

Stored for 20years it's a lie, then the 3406 would be alive and kicking. It's a wrecked rebuilt, anyhow the price due to inflation is like paying 140,000 two years ago..
