I am split between two. The first all gold Bovet which exudes tradition and character. The other is MB&F for its unique presentation and strong well performed mechanics

Hahahaha.... Nice video, and I liked the move from Patek pocket watches to Bovet classics to System51, but the cheap entry into the mechanical watch world has already been cornered by Seiko's 5 series and Orient, which then are even serviceable. It was a bold move by Swatch, but it feels almost like fast fashion and thus a bit unsustainable given the field they are in. That said, a fun an eclectic collection with truly fun pieces. And you've shown me the only MB&F that I like, even if it doesn't fit my style. Very cool chat, gents. I also particularly like the focus on the collaborative aspect of watchmaking. Both Rolex and Patek used that model for years, with movements supplied by Aegler and JLC respectively. I am happy to hear there are people that question the fetishization of vertical integration. Very nice indeed.

hi, i agree totally, if u are interested in technical aspects a pocket watch is my priority, too....and i enjoy the mechanical size, each part is visible....my wrist watches mostly are quarz for exact time, only my dresser are mechanical...be good

My watch heros, Marc - intellectual, informative & not the 'normal' brands. Enjoy his trips around and the access he has to everyone in horology. TGV - got me onto Vintage British Timex/Marlin, enthusiasm, informative and fun; he did not fit into Watchbox so thankfully he's back on normal ground, huge Seiko passion which is well founded. Producer Michael - my first sight of WOW branded watches and a true collector enthusiast, beautiful jewells and the fun he has living the high-life. I have a different opinion than Marc on the Sister 51 as I did purchase this right after the release and it was a very hard to find piece during that time. It was already stopped anyway. Although this had been quite fascinating with the huge power reserve but the accuracy had been a big issue because it was quite inaccurate, a sealed case enabling this unable to regulate watch. So even though €150 sounds like cheap for this disposable watch but you have many choices of mechanical watches in this price if you choose Seiko, Citizen. The best line up of Swatch Watches are Irony line and Sistem51 was a big mistake made by Swatch.

Was lucky enough to meet and chat with Marc at Baselworld and he is such a cool and easy person to talk to. My grail watch is the same too...the GF gmt is just the most amazing piece!🤩
