this is variable name. It can be any. for example, VideoCapture image(path) or VideoCapture cam(0). if you need pointers, then you can: auto cam = new VideoCapture(0);

excuseme sir. I am doing your project - virtual painter in python. I almost do all the same you except one thing. That is drawOnCanvas function. I dont undenstand: I draw the point like you but when move the object, this point is moving but it doesnt make the line/edge, it just moves with the object. I read your code and I see you draw the point on Mat "img". But "img" is the frame of the camera, it means that it will be refleshed continously, how How are the lines still drawn?
