Hello everyone, nerd here, and as always there's some math going on in this puzzle. The diagram can actually be viewed as a network with nodes being intersections of various lines, so this problem falls in the realm of graph theory. In a nutshell, what they are trying to construct is called an Euler Path through the network (Euler is pronounced "oil-er"), where each line segment is traversed exactly once. Whether or not you can actually do this depends on the 'degree' of each node in the network (i.e. the number of lines intersecting at the point). In this case, each intersection has degree 2, except midway up the vertical line, and the rightmost intersection (the edge of the boat on the right), which both have degree 3. This is exactly what you need to construct an Euler path (exactly two nodes of odd degree), and in fact every Euler path in this picture has to start and end at these two points.

Go through the upside down arc and then go right. Once you reach the end of the triangle, go up to the very top of the flagpole and go ti the left, down, and right, or go to the bottom of the flag, left, up, right, then down to the end of the line.

I saw it right away you got to start at the square go down the pole, then down the smaller part of the boat, around the bottom, up on top of the triangle and then finishing underneath the triangle 🤩

Pro tip: start and end on a vertex with an odd number of offshoot lines. If there are more than 2 such vertices, give up.

I found like 3 other ways to achieve that. They all start from the top left box corners. The flag of the ship!

Using Euler walk, it's possible to do it as there are two vertices with odd degree

Start at the bottom of the flag moving left, up and around the flag and down the flagpole then right up over the triangle, across the horizon and then around the half circle.

Even the last one failed he crossed over his starting point. Start points to the right going left then bottom loop the v and up to make the box

Sandy Whistler
I'm weird so here is a guide on another way to solve it. Start on the bottom right of the triangle at the top and go up, then down to the left, and go right. Go through the upside down arc and then go right. Once you reach the end of the triangle, go up to the very top of the flagpole and go ti the left, down, and right, or go to the bottom of the flag, left, up, right, then down to the end of the line.

For these: count the edges coming from the vertices. If there are ONLY two that have an odd number of edges, you must start at one and end at the other. Here, these two are at the bottom of the flag and upper right of the boat.
