I think this will be one of the only survival show finales where every single final contestants will be solid as hell. Like.. no dozens, no just cause they’re cute contestants, no real comfortability in knowing who will actually make it. It’s all up in the air and even at the last minute, somebody could show something in these last 3 episodes to shift it all

@Asare India so you don't exactly know the dozen mean in other season, there are trainees who can't do anything good, both in singing and dancing, Yujin, I don't think much of his vocal, but his dancing skills is good and charming in his own( someone can dance without mistake but the own dancing style is the thing make a performer stand out on stage), there is reason why dancing mentor mentioned him in the first ep and the way they said he will be a factor in the future with more training

I am literally on my knees for Junhyeon to debut in the final lineup, I have endless reasons why he would be a great addition to the lineup. He is not just the comedic relief of the show, he has a lot of sides to him that I hope others will soon realise and see.

A lot of other trainees fill the same roles he does. E.g. ChaWoongki, and SeoWon. So he is going to have to show the audience why he’s better then the others who have similar “appeals”. Going to be tricky as ChaWoongki has much more experience in the variety sphere and has had a storyline recently and the pity arc of supercharger and feel special + much more screen-time. So keep voting hard for him!

i feel like seunghwan could potentially be a bit of a wild card and i think his biggest hurdle is going to be getting around that benefit. he’s being going viral on korean sites and has been gaining a lot of traction and whilst that happened to wumuti with zoom at the end of the day seunghwan is korean and not only do we know what korean fans are like but also the fact their votes do weight more.

But the competition is so much. Knetz will first try to vote F4 then Zhang hao, Taerae, Gunwook,Hui then him at last. 😢😢 which is sad.

I find it odd that Keita is not very well supported by the korean voters. Normally, they love anyone with ex-big 3 connections (Jeon Somi JYP, Kim Chaehyun SM etc). Keita is ex-YG, but doesn't get the same hype as the the girls I just mentioned did.

The lack of Hiroto in this episode was just, like, wow, how were they able to cut his parts so much. I started watching the show to see more of Hiroto, and now the show is ending and the only thing I saw from Hiroto was the stages, in 9 long episodes. It's ridiculous. 9 as a debut line-up is also pretty low... But, then again debuting lesser trainees has become a norm (there are exceptions) and it is also a counterpart to girls planet, but then again they did remove the 999. If only they had some planet pass to allow one more member in the lineup, but that's just a wishful thinking.

If Wang Zihao is towards the bottom of Korean votes, but at the top of international votes (his 1 pick is huge and dedicated) then he might just have a shot at 9th place.

I think seok matthew is 8th. Even if he is global, they wouldn't want to show him on 8th place because they wanted him to drop and they don't want him to go up YET. Keyword "yet" because they do want him in the final lineup, but to create drama and shock value, they're gonna try to make him drop and keep his rank a secret so we get shocked when the elimination episode airs. But after the episode airs, seok matthews votes are gonna skyrocket because seeing him in a low place will make people rally and start voting for him more. 8th is low for him, people wouldn't really think he's safe and stop voting because he's only been dropping so people will be more cautious. I don't think gunwook fans are enough to beat matthew so that's why I think matthew's 8th place, and that is my reasoning on why they wouldn't show him even if he's a global trainee.

I don't think Zihao will suffer from fans thinking he is safe and get too relaxed in not voting him. First of all, his one pick is super strong, and they *only* care about him, so I don't see there being any chance they stop voting for him religiously. Second, they know he got 19th in the last eliminations, and so if they work off the knowledge that he might place around there, and that rank is not safe enough to not be eliminated, I don't think there's any chance they're letting up. If Zihao manages to get past this next eliminations though, even if only at 18, I can almost guarantee his rank will rise a whole lot from his one-picks. They're *committed*!

I've never been so attached to contestants of such a show like, with gp999 i barely knew their names until the last episode and here I am losing sleep over Matthew's bad edit. Btw, i don't feel like it was a full bad edit, episode 10 gave him so much screen time, and he was still like the protagonist of his story, and it was kinda like a redemption arc for him being (rightfully) upset?

With Wang Zihao's huge 1pick fanbase the most effective strategy is invisible editing. Su Ruiqi and Fu Yaning had strong 1pick fanbases in GP999 and when Mnet tried to evil edit them in round 3 they rose in ranks. I'm sure Mnet is aware that if they show Zihao (in a bad light) this will only further incentivise his fanbase AND they'd run the risk of him gaining new fans from the exposure. Because of this I believe they wouldn't have shown it if Wang Zihao ranked 13th.

Idk why but i feel like Zhang Hao will be placed first. I also agree that Jongwoo left top 18 and is placed something like 19-22 cuz I haven’t seen many people who put him in their top3 BUT i may be wrong. I would say that Gyivin will be placed 13-16 but he won’t make it to the top9 in the final. He is a filler vote for many people and i have never seen his global one-pick fans. My only 2 cents although I agree with most of the thought process in the video is that, yes Mnet GENERALLY tries to hide/bring down G trainees in favour of the K trainees, but I don’t think they dislike ALL G trainees like that. I’m sure they have their own G trainee picks that they want to protect, and something in me wants to believe that these are Zhanghao and Jay (at this point). I actually think Jay would be back in top 9, especially with the assumption that Over Me won the mission and got the benefit. The way praises of him literally dominated the comment section of that 30s preview video is honestly insane. Seunghwan was probably out of the top 18 during the interim, but I have hopes that he will push his way in given that En Garde aired earlier (and his performance was well-received) and that he’s been trending on Korean portals after this interim ranks. he got a good story ark cuz mnet wanted to evil edit shuaibo, him having a good story line a story ark was to make a c trainee look bad. though mnet is already set up a concept and if he meets the criteria the pd's might push him.

@rin !! but then the whole screentime push in the elimination round + SOOOO MUCH variety screentime + MC part of a show and another “pity story arc by making the top9 look bad for using Woongki ideas and arrangement and kicking him out. + underdog storyarc again with supercharger. It makes me hopeful. And AGAIN he was “last place” revealed in the interim rankings. Push the “save Woongki HES at the verge of elimination” arc. It’s very interesting and I hope Woongki debuts. But I’m very surprised he isn’t higher. Trainees above him have done SO much less then he has and rank higher for smaller things then him. I do wonder why Woongki isn’t ranking higher then he is rn.

I do think over me won cuz of +7 +9 jump of ricky and ljh is kinda crazy during fist week, 200k benefit means a lot for one week voting. tbh I think gyuvin might rise quite high might even reach to top 9 as panick votes mean a lot given during iland jungwoon was close to being eliminated and everyone voted for him make him rise to top3 I think, I don't really remember.

I really need Gyuvin to debut, like… his star potential is just limitless. It’s been a while since I’ve seen an idol like him. I’m so happy korean star creators have good taste, I hope many people vote for him (I am too, diligently).

we have the same gut feeling about zihao being 19th!! at least at the time of the interim like I've never felt so certain about something. If gyuvin/phanbin rise because of the interim reveal I wonder how that'll shake up the 10-13 rankings? For example, I can definitely see gyuvin rising to 10-12 due to panic voting and phanbin taking spot 13. Anyone previously there would get pushed down i.e hui, Junhyeon, Jay, Haruto , which is making it really difficult to predict the elimination rankings. I'm not ready for the heart break of saying goodbye to trainees like Seunghwan, seowon, Jongwoo:((( Seungon will most likely stay at 17 ( he was basically born for this rank) but for some reason I can see Woongi not making it?? I feel like he was a lot of peoples filler pick due to his big edit in ep 7 and people might deem him "safe" since he's seen to be rising and switch to voting for others. ....Just a feeling tho Also I know you said you were not going to do an episode 9 review. But who do you think were the winners of the episode in terms of editing? did anybody get a push you that you weren't expecting? - I was definitely surprised by the big angel edit for haurto. okay heyy, first of all i love such an in length comment so i have a very big one in return lol!! i think the people who were not shown in the ep and in ranks 10-13 are prob in the most danger of being dropped… everyone is likely focusing on those whose ranks were shown and people like Kum Junhyeon who barely appeared in the episode may be forgotten when the influx of panic votes arrive about the episode winners: - Gunwook -> apart from the fact that i hated the prank (so ???), with the comparison of how Matthew handled things in SMN he is looking nice + did a good performance and have the pity edit of not getting 1st place despite being heavily focused - Haruto -> i fully expected the push (they need 1J in the debut lineup and now have only 2 options so they can’t afford to lose him atp) he handled things so well and he was very dedicated and mature about the performance which is a side we didn’t see from him before (i kinda hated how SC was edited bc it all seemed very brushed over but Haruto did great!) - i’m going to say Hui is also a winner, for the first time we got to see him having fun interactions with the trainees, he was serious when they needed him to be serious and he did great in the performance as always, even though he got neutral treatment be was able to appear a lot and it was not heavy (?) like the other edits he got (Love Me Right for example) - Woongki -> pity edit + performance shown this week + 18 rank might be enough to get him traction to rise/secure his spot half winner half loser : Seunghwan got some screen time that was fun and really shined in the performance but got a minuscule evil edit losers: Gyuvin -> got the “undeserving of 1st place” *edit* again Matthew & Hanbin -> SMN ordeal that could have been handled better, Matthew got a redemption but still leaves a bad impression to the audience Junhyeon (& Hiroto) -> zero screentime and didn’t shine ✨ in the performance (i blame everyone having the same outfit + the wonky camerawork) I also thought that Junhyeon would get a bigger edit because he had been getting them all along but… someone else i was surprised by not getting a push/story was Keita, they barely showed him getting kicked out so ig he will be in the backseat on the Switch team which is a bit unexpected but means they’ll go all out with PHanbin !! thank you for enjoying the video and i hope this response isn’t too dragged out hahah

@Vedant Kakade i didn’t think he was actually undeserving omg sorry that’s how it came across. i meant that that’s what they are trying to portray to us, they never show anything positive about Gyuvin and they focused the storyline on Gunwook, and when competing for first place the camera was panned on Gunwook only to Gyuvin get his spot. This is the second time they do that and both times people online fell into the “Gyuvin shouldn’t have gotten first place” i just didn’t want to make the comment longer and thought it was pretty self explanatory lol i will put quotes around it to avoid confusion. and if you care about my opinion although he is far from my favorite performer of the show, i actually think that if he won both times, it must be bc he has something really appealing on live stages :)

It seems that seunghwan still doesnt get enough recognition from international fans. IDK what’s wrong since he has done everything. My speculation is that Ifans are more vulnerable to fall for Mnet editing, hence ifans usually vote for the trainees who get more screentime. !! ohh. Nice discussion. I think it's interesting that you're giving the benefit of the doubt to the En Garde trainees (here at the interim rankings). Gyuvin was considered to have the strongest fanbase out of him, Hui, and Junhyeon, but after 3-pick became a fact that's turned out to be untrue... how sure can we be Hui and Junhyeon aren't facing the same predicament (of having been a lot of people's 6-pick, but not in their 3-pick)? Also, while Junhyeon has been on a rise, Hui has been slowly falling ever since week 2. I honestly think there's a small possibility that Hui or Junhyeon went below under 18-- HOWEVER once the votes of the week catch up with the benefits, they might move up again, and things might still change... Like idk if Lee Jeonghyeon will be able to maintain his spot in the final unless he gets a godly story/edit and the gp watching the episode tomorrow eats it up. After tomorrow's episode (or maybe after Friday's first announcement?), I'd love to see your full prediction for the elim!

Zihao, zhanghao and shanbin won support coffee truck. Does this mean Zihao is going pretty strong? Like Zihao along with zhanghao and shanbin. Zihao is too good to be eliminated in 3rd elimination. Ugh haruto, chawoongki, Zihao,kum junhyeon, hui, jay, seungeon, jongwoo and so many more shouldn't go home just yet. junhyeon has a worse situation than jongwoo in terms of one picks and three picks i think he dropped like jongwoo, so i’m guessing jay is 10th because of the alleged over me benefit, hui is 11th and they didn’t show him because he didn’t drop so they considered him safe and didn’t want people to also consider him safe and drop him, wang zihao and haruto are 12th and 13th but i could see either being in both places so idk

JAY AND RICKY I NEED THEM TO DEBUT AAAAH they’re just so unique and stand out so much and they’re very distinct, and they’ll add so much to the line up- I hate how xenophobic Koreans are- no offence, but if most of the members are Korean I will find the group a little boring, as it will just be like every other kpop boy group (although yeah its kpop ofc korea) but like they need more unique and interesting personalities and visuals so many new boy groups (and girl groups) fel so copy and paste like I’d like to see more mixed groups aswell. ahhh I'm not sure I agree with Over me winning!! assuming Yoo Seungeon only got 200 k points, based on the points from the last elimination he still wouldn't go up in ranking, and even if we're accounting for 3-pick voting I think it's possible that he would still be in 17th even with a benefit. But I still think your ranking is pretty accurate because we've all assumed that 3-pick will hugely benefit trainees with big (int.) fanbases, and if we look at Wang Zihao this is obviously not true. Although I hope that the ranks shown will cause more people to vote for him knowing he's likely still in 19th because he really deserves a spot in the final!! I'm not sure I agree with Gyuvin not breaking top 9 again, we know that 8-12th place is very unpredictable and a lot of people are competing for those 2 spots, and I feel like some top 9 trainees are a little shaky, right now Keita, Ricky and maybe Taerae, Gunwook and Jiwoong. We'll have to see the rankings after 3-pick voting to know for sure, but I think there's still room for a lot of changes in top 9 and a lot of trainees that can compete for those top spots. It's also tricky with predicting because we don't know how much votes are worth- like how many votes would you need to cancel out a 200 K point benefit?? Because even if Ricky got 400 K points if over me won, he'd still need a LOT of votes to rise 7 places and surpassing a bunch of popular people. But I'm super happy he's so high and hope he's still in top 9 at the end of this voting
