Curiosity were top class with their debut album but it slipped away sadly. The backing vocals are so good pity they weren't given a name credit as they deserved it.

They would of been big if drugs weren’t involved. They had the potential, sounded different than any group back then and the look of the band was pleasing too. Always a downfall of the group when one fails to adjust the limelight.

Fun fact: They were rivals with a band called “Midnight” that was fronted by Gavin Rossdale of Bush fame. Bush was the biggest rock band in the world for a year or two—and they sounded absolutely nothing like Rossdale’s former band. There are a few videos of Rossdale performing a Midnight song, and it’s unbelievably cheesy in that late 80s kind of way. Bush was pretty much a “grunge” band, at least on their first couple of albums. Midnight was...not grunge at all. 😆🤣😂

Beautiful words and melodies. Tracks like Misfit, In the first place, Mile high and others. Soulful human subtle... Loved their music, but I never related them to the 80's- late 80's. Always remember them from the 90's though. Don't know where the time has gone. Seems strange to think that they are approaching middle age now.

I was 39....I loved them instantly, bought their tape...I'm now 70... I still dig their sound, his soft voice, easy movement,yeah...diggin it at five in my a.m.

Great live band No lipsynching, real musicians playing real instruments, personal style This band had it all, what happened?

They sacked their main writer and keyboard player, Toby Anderson, cos he was a bit tubby and cramped their style. You never seen him in photoshoots etc just live appearances, even then he was hardly picked up on camera. Anyway they sacked him and their career went to shit, the vain little twats.

Surprised they seemed to vanish into thin air! Seeing as that album did so well, but a TOP/nostalgic track anyway...

There's an interesting interview from The Tube with Paula Yates (it is on YT) where they said it took a few them years to find labels that would let them create authentically without being manipulatedn and even then they had to compromise. Given they were just about to release Misfit their second track, it was a great question from Paula and an honest answer from the lads. But I can't help wonder if that sealed their fate. They were Leona Lewis'ed.

Wow, that was "Tight", it was easy for some people to scoff at these in the late 80's as just another "Pop Band",,,,,how wrong, the musicianship of these guys is second to none. Being a Guitarist myself, I'd have to add that Julian's Funk skill is mindblowing, as is all the musicians involved.

Ben VP ALWAYS wore great clothes. Puts modern styles to shame...
