Why did you say the top 9 not feel as predictable and stagnant? Because for me i think the current top 9 will surely debut but in different rank for me, we all know hanbin for sure will always be top 1, but for me i want keita in top 5 because he is the most deserving one.. lots are complaining about gyuvin and hyunjin based on talent, what can we do they are popular in korea, but keita is much higher in global compare to the 2 even to hui.. but i need keita to have more votes in korean fans because he ranked 11 on the votes but top 5 in global votes, because if keita more on korean votes like on rank 8 or 9 100% sure his total will be in top 5 or 6 rank

@Liezl Tan​helloo! tbh although i also think changes in the TOP9 members might be extremely unlikely, the rank ups (Matthew, Zhanghao) and the ranking down (specially Gyuvin’s) shows that not everything is set in stone, and although the diff in points and votes between the top10/12 and everyone else is MASSIVE, the little changes we all saw as impossible happened, giving hope to the audience for their favorites that aren’t secured yet. also the fact that we have so many rising stars (like Yoo Seungeon, Kum Junhyeon, Mun Jung Hyun….), trainees that still have so much room to grow (PHanbin, Yoon Jungwoo), and how rankings drastically changed in the span of 1 week, I wouldn’t say *anything* could happen but we could be facing some other plot twists, making the show more exciting. i do think the changes in the top9 (if there is any) will probably be of 3/4 trainees max, but with 6pick + reset in counts + the drop of some trainees we may be having more surprises which is what makes me excited!

Kim Minseong... He's so talanted and it was so sad to realize that the mcountdown and studio choom stages were his last performances (at least for now) He deserved better...

I just feel so terrible about his elimination Like how can someone who dances so well,his live singing is also so stable be eliminated Even the boys acknowledge his talent that's why he was chosen for back door team

Seowon the icon this episode, him dancing to hype boy and Woongi joining him, such a slay. But also I felt kind of bad for him, he had to see his two group mates (Winnie and Jiho) go home at the same time. When they were announcing very nice and Jiho was the only k left you could see Seowon was really hoping that Jingoo would say there are survivors left, but he didn’t. At least we can stan nine.i to follow them. The reactions were what made this episode: Jay jumping of happiness when Kamden was announced, Haruto saying you’re a bird to Kuanji, Takuto side eying daeul,… Jay making it into the top 9 without any benefits (since Keita, zhanghao and Matthew had a little one for winning with kill this love), I really hope he keeps rising, I’m in love with his voice.

Correction!! Hanbin didn't have 8 million votes but points, it's a big difference!! He actually had over 2 million votes, but because of the voting system that global votes and korean votes each should be 50% after calculations ranks are defined by the points. When talking about the point diferency, yes, Hanbin was far from Matthew, but when talking about votes, the difference was only few hundred thousand votes. But I agree, for now Sung Hanbin is quite untouchable!!

​@Smile Lana the formula is as follows (total number of votes placed/total number of korean votes placed * total of trainees korean votes) + (total number of votes placed/total number of international votes placed * total of trainees international votes) we can't really use it as we don't know the total numbers of votes placed, but it's good to at least know how they're getting the numbers they are. Also benefit is added to points, not to votes. Shanbin got 8,343,418 points with benefit, and 8,233,418 points without benefit. The benefit actually didn't affect the top9 at all, but likely affected a few of the trainees in the middle rankings who might've been saved by the benefit.

Yes because of 50/50 my pick keita is rank 8, but if not or just based on the votes keita should be in top 6, he has a higher votes than hui,jay and gyuvin

​@Aethyr i agree benefit or no benefit it didn't affect the top 9 like keita still be on rank 8 even without the benefit just based on score and votes compare to jay.. But i think it affects 50/50 votes like keita in global votes he rank 5 with 2.1M votes while in korean vote he rank 11 so they need to balanced the votes that is why he rank 8, but if its not 50/50 just based on the votes as total keita should be in top 6, hui is top 9, gyuvin top 8 and jay top 7 but because of 50/50 the rank change without the benefit counted

If I remember correctly the jump from 6th place to 5th place in votes was pretty big so I think he’s going to be okay going forward. He’s gotten pretty decent screen time so far plus his relationship with Sung Han Bin will help him now that they’ve kinda put the G vs K agenda behind.

just wanna share my prediction: - shanbin, jiwoong, yujin, matthew are definitely gonna make it, unless somehow there's some unfavorable scandals erupt (bullying, SA,etc) - taerae also most likely to debut especially if he gets good screentime in this second challenge - zhanghao will rise once the voting changes to 1 pick

Zhanghao has already drama, making heterophobic comments on gay sites (before bp)...so we see how that goes. Not a good mark to have in a boygroup. Shanbin have interesting videos in tiktok aswell but these mostly show his talent and visual change - also shows really..fruity..side of him as well. But hey, if this is a BL group, why not 😄

Minseoung is the one I'm most upset about! He was in my original top 11 before the show started and he was in my top 9 sometimes (I switched out my bottom 2-4 every week depending on the episode so that I can vote for people that I might not have otherwise). Park Hanbin has been my number 1 from the beginning and I vote for him everytime. I don't think you're crazy about being worried for Zhang Hao. I'm starting to notice a similarity between Zhang Hao and Sung Hanbin's friendship and Yurina and Xiaoting's friendship. It's not quite the same since Yurina and Xiaoting were in the same cell. But they had a moment in Zhang Hao's dorm and during the dance battle and seeing people call them haobin on tiktok is giving my major xiaorina flashbacks. As as we know Xiaoting almost didn't make it into the group and Yurina didn't make it at all and they were both ranked low in the interim ranking that Mnet released before the finale.

Honestly the only reason there was not so much of an imbalance between K and G trainees after the first cut is because it was leaked that almost all the k group trainees got the 110k boost from the challenge so the int voters really pulled together to vote mostly for g group trainees to make it more fair. Its very clear mnet wants to cut as much of the g group trainees as possible. the only ones i think they want to make sure to keep are the ones they give the good edits to and ended up in the top 9 or top 20. So yeah the ratio is surprising because without most people making sure to vote mainly for g group, wayyy more k group who didn't deserve it would have made the cut bc of the audience/mnet bias.

i'm so happy that jongwoo is raising! i feel like he's a very well-rounded performer, he actually has experience in writing his own raps and making choreographies, so i'm looking forward for what's he's going to do in this next mission.

5:38 I agree with Kim Min Seoung, I knew him from LOUD as was one of my top picks there. I supported him in Boys Planet and noticed how little screen time he got (almost like they did it deliberately). He is so talented and I feel like some of the people voted based on looks and other stuff and not for actual talent, which put him at a disadvantage. I hope he has a happy life, regardless of it he debuts or not in the future. Please support him in the future everyone! 💗

Yugeng definitely deserved to survive ugh mnet doesnt really care about low ranking trainees. He's a rapper, not a vocalist and he didn't get to show off what he's great at because he ended up having to sing both times he was on stage. The only times they showed him was when he was upset bc he knew he was going to get eliminated A DAY before the voting was over. They didnt even show his audition/first placement stage with his group AND they're evil editing Krystian STILL like he cannot get a break. Chinese contestants just getting treated badly yet again omg. AND to add to my point, Yugeng was also a Cube trainee at some point so he is pretty fluent in korean but people don't ever know that or find out when they make it such a big deal about Matthew/Hanbin/Hui/Doha being a cube family and being there for each other, but I guess he's chopped liver

Something you didn't mention was the benefit that K group boys got, like it's crazy because when you compare the two groups, most of the lower ranked, 40s to 50s, boys from K groups, only got those spot BECAUSE of the benefit, if they didn't the rankings would have been a lot different. Conversely to all the G groups boys that ranked so high, the Big Three (Keita, Matthew, Zhang Hao), Jay, Ricky, Takuto, Haruto, Anthonny, and Hiroto (ranked 21st) had to do extremely well to capture the attention of voters, which shows their potential, skill and talents. P.S. I feel so bad for the Burn it up teams, like I know they weren't the best, but at least one of them could have made it. P.S.S I don't think anyone said it yet, so I'll say it, I fear the next gen of K-pop, because there are four trainees in particular, and I won't call any names (My house duo, 13th seat, and one of the tall Global boys who can't rap) didn't deserve their ranks/seats and got them based of charms/looks/personality, in comparison to trainees such Haru, Kim Minseong, Min or Jang Ji Ho, who had talent and skill than them. The stand-out problem was the unscripted shirt lifters/ab showing for extra attention and votes - I think they were all K group, too? We pretty much objectfied them and taught the sweeter or more talented ones that showing skin mattered more than their skills. had that been females I wonder if it would be laughed off as easily. Cutest thing was a G group members saying "we should not be watching this" (and is that cheating?). Your next gen may be male strippers.

4:10 I just felt really disappointed that out of 3 Thai Trainees, two were supposed to survive!! Min worked so hard and Winnie shined through his performance. Keita and Dang Hong Hai didn't blindly pick them. The same thing goes for Han Seo Bin. Hui, the God of Music Arrangement, didn't blindly pick him. It honestly disappointed me that he didn't survive. And also, Kim Minseong. Like HOW THE FUCK DIDN'T PEOPLE VOTE FOR HIM? During the Back Door performance, there is a part where all the members say "Minseong-ah!!"... I am so disappointed. TBH Back Door K-Team members should've all survived!! They got the benefit of performing in Studio Choom and MCountdown. I honestly don't get the logic sometimes 🤦‍♀🤦‍♀ It reminded of those kind of fans who listen to a K-pop group's songs, but only stan one person from that group and don't care about the others. It's either you love them all or none. 7:13 Let me tell you this - the Chinese Trainees know what's happening and they know all about the evil-editing. When Krystian survived and he was asked to share his thoughts, he said "Hello, I'm bad Krystian... Back Door gave me a new experience. I'd like to spread joy and love. Please look forward to new Krystian. Thank you." I'm honestly pissed off because there are certain trainees that survived and I feel like they didn't deserve it. Like I can name 10 eliminated trainees who could've shown so much progress if they had gotten the chance to survive for the next round. And about the groups who performed "Burn It Up"... I completely agree with Kim Min Seoung. These people voting aren’t taking it seriously, for instance when Lee Daeul was in 4th place 🤡. Kim Min Seoung is one of the most talent trainees there and received countless compliments from the masters, I feel like he just needs to express himself better. Or maybe Mnet edited so that he wasn’t able to showcase his personality. I really hope he becomes successful in the future.

This was spot on, though personally, I liked that they went by performance group because it made it easier for me to remember the lesser known trainees. I think even more so when it's their last time in front of the camera, I'd like to remember how they performed, especially given a some of the eliminated may show up on another show like this down the road when they have more experience.

maybeee i overreacted and was way to sentimental and wanted to cry everytime Yeo Jingoo said, "there are no more survivors" the fact that they had to be composed enough to go back to their seats like nothing happened seemed so cruel to me. but just as you said, at least they are remembered, and got their moment. i just wish they were able to have shown that before the final episode so its less heartbreaking

One thing i want to point out about the vote system that you misunderstood, the more global fans vote the worst it is for them because the votes are still divided 50% g 50% k which means that lets say 100 international people vote and 10 koreans vote when both of them account for 50% the individual vote of the international fans weigh less compared to Koreans. Korean have a huge advantage because of that :(

I thought they mentioned with the votes that they adjust to make it 50% from Korea and 50% global. So, global voting more does not affect results. What may effect statistics is if Koreans vote more for Koreans, while global people are less 'patriotic' as we see by Canada not voting as much for Matthew. I'm Australian, and we have nobody there at all, and I voted about half for K and have for G- so maybe that is where we have a disadvantage?

I would love for you to check out my final lineup and tell me your thoughts ! Ive been through many shows like this one and i usually get 90% of the contestants for the final lineup right. my Final debut lineup: 1. Sung Hanbin: we all know how talented this kid is and how much he deserves to be in the final lineup bc we all know the centers of the signal song are a guaranteed debut member. 2. Jay: This guy has the vocals that could make him the 4th gen best vocalist material and you can agree to disagree but its very strong potential. There is no chance that with his vocals that he wont debut into the final lineup. imagine him and Hui together along with the other 2 im adding into the group . This man has amazing stage presence and has all the materials to make the group sound so good! 3. Kim Ji woong: This man is stunning from all angles but the reason he for me looks like a debut member is he has such a nice deep low voice to keep the vocals stabilized and sound amazing. also he gives me kai vibes like the main center of most of the songs and does the chorus as the main center. Hes a very sweet guy so i hope with a lot of support he debuts bc its amazing what he can bring to the table. 4. Seok Matthew: I've been a Matthew stan since i saw his sister asking people to cheer him on on tiktok and he is my number 1 choice in this group. Matthew has it all hes the cute member that everyone needs but has the perfect duality to be that monster dancer/performer on stage and his vocals are super stable even on par with hui and jay!!! this man is a humble Canadian who deserves a spot on the debut lineup for sure. I think Matthew looking the most Korean for being a G-group trainee is going to secure his spot in the lineup as well as many Korean fans are loving him right now and will continue to do so !!! 5.Lee hoe Taek(HuI): This man has a lot of burdens on his shoulders going into this show being the oldest and having a strong reputation as a vocalist/producer so a lot rides on Hui debuting. Idk if people know but remeber how strong WannaOnes debut was bc of Hui's song energetic!!! imagine the group with a strong leader and composer to make them unstopable!!! its no doubt in my mind he is going to debut but he is struggling right now with the pressure, but i know he is going to be amazing after this first mission test is over. 6.Park Gun Wook: I dont think i have to say why this man is here. Ummm talented AF a strong Visual and a teddy bear at heart he reminds me so much of shownu from monsta X like he has such strong stage presence but is a sweetheart and deserves the world. The evil editing is not fair at all for him because he really cares about helping others while aiming to be a idol. His rapping and build are just amazing and he is a good hard deserving winner for the group. 7.Zhang hao: This man has good vocals which gives me like suho vibes from exo a lot so along with Matthew being xumin, D.o being jay, and Hui being baekhyun and chen, Zhang Hao completes this all rounding amazing group to complete the UNITY!!! imagine all 4 of these vocalist together omg the shows and things they can do will be amazing!!!!! Zhang hao has some more qualities I hope he shows in later episodes but he is a strong contender for debut! 8. Lee Seung Hwan: along side Hui he gives me co-leader vibes to push others along and help them become even greater than before! I have never heard anyone match the tone or beats like he did for kill this love on ep3. He has such duo rapper god potential with Park gun wook to be amazing like ( Sehun and Chanyeol, Joohoney and I.M., Changbin and Han, Bobby and Hanbin) I could go on but like common we need that perfect rap duo to make this group look amazing and I do belive keita and Park gun wook have that energy together!!! Overall Looking at this list it covers all the marks on what would be the perfect debut group lineup, Im sorry to those who want like a cutesy member or someone based off looks, but im judging how I've always been judging and that's based on talent and popularity. Again this is my opinion and I hope I dont step on anyones toes for how i feel the debut lineup should be but you have to agree with me hopefully and say my lineup has amazing strong potential If i am correct!

I think your remark around 9:00 is wrong.. I understood that because they always say it's 50% Global votes and 50% Korean votes however many Global votes there are, the Korean votes would be just multiplied to add up to the amount of the Global votes. If there are 10 people voting outside of Korea and there are 5 Korean voters, it would mean that each of those Korean votes would be doubled to make up for the number and which would mean (in this example) they'd have much more power and influence than global voters; Which means that if more Global people would vote, it would just always give more power to the individual Korean votes...

Honestly, I think every Boys Planet video made by the fans is overexaggerating. I am NOT saying that Mnet is pure or innocdent or any shit like this but every single video is only about mnet evil editing and saying "yeah, Mnet doesn't want them in the group so they only showed these clips of them". Do you guys think that these boys are some kind of angels or something? They are not. They are humans just like us, what makes them special is their talent (or at least most of them). Aside from that, they are simple people, that's it. Of course not all of them will be suuuper super nice and polite. YOu never have bad days or something? I think it is only fair that they put some "bad" scenes in as well. If it weren't from them, the show would look like a fake perfect world where everyone is nice and talented. The editing team is being criticized WAY TOO MUCH. Mnet is actually more okey in this show in my opinion than the image a lot of people give them.

helloo! first of all i’m a bit confused since my main point of the rant itself was the unfair screentime/airing of performances some trainees that caught my attention too had, and how if that was changed they could have been saved. but to your points: evil editing depends a lot on what you consider it to be, some people use the term only for when there is manipulation of the scenes (Cai Bing in GP999), others use it for airing of their bad moments (Lee Daeul for example). i also think it’s a bit unfair of you to think the editing is not completely calculated… if everyone has bad days how come we don’t see any of the so called “producers picks” bad days? and if they have both why didn’t they show us the good days of trainees such as Krystian? yes there needs to be some content for them to be able to air it out, Daeul said the words himself - no one said he didn’t. But the choice of clips (from thousands of hours of footage) is completely up to the editors/producers. If you enjoy the drama then good for you, i also do to some extent, but acting like what we see is actual “real” and most of all >>fair
