Very nice camper . It's even got more kitchen counter space than most of their larger models. Very practical. nice floor plan. didn't hear the weight but I'm guessing it's made for a 3/4 ton.

I really appreciate that Lance didn't clutter up the bathroom with a sink. See a lot of small campers with wet baths that seem to feel that there needs to be a sink in there and it just takes up space, or they design it in a way that it creates another failure point.

Great overview of the camper and explanations of everything. Not only did he explain it well, but he also took the time to show you everything with his video recorder. I like the Lance camper quite a bit but just have one question over recommended vehicle for this would it be a 3500 or a 2500 size truck for a family of three?

3500 if you’re going with dodge, don’t recommend the 2500 due to them using coil springs. 2500 Chevy/GMC you’ll be fine. 250 Ford you’ll be fine.

Yea your back! You were missed 😊. Im lovin this model Lance right here. I've 2 questions...does this bathroom only have a ventilation vent up top or is there also an air /heat vent ? Do any of the Lance models have a skylight over the bed that opens like a vehicle sun roof ? Very nice layout, interior textures and color design! That spacious kitchen counter would be a great food prep area. (Lol, you could have a cooking with Brad segment inside a Lance kitchen😉🍲) Sweet, 825 seems to have everything one could really need 👍. Heated bathroom and yes, the larger models have a skylight that opens! A cooking video with me would be pretty boring as I would just show how to heat items in the microwave lol

Quick question for the audience. Brad stated in the 2014 camper video that you need a short bed to haul it. As someone who is new to the bed camper world, is that the norm? I've been considering some long bed 3/4tn trucks, but would that limit me to ONLY longer campers, or is there a way around that with extra chains, block etc? I'm sure it's "possible", but I'd rather see what the normal is. Thanks in advance!

There are quite a few short bed & long bed designed truck camper models, and also one model designed for both (Lance 850). When you put a camper designed for a short bed in a long bed you are throwing off the center of gravity, although I have seen a 855s as in the video hauled in on a long bed dually Dodge Ram 🤷🏼‍♂️

Pack a lunch and git to crankin'!! That's tellin' it like it is!! Another great video Brad. This is a pretty no nonsense camper with what seems to be plenty of room for whatever you need. I've never liked a wet bath but this one seems to have plenty of room to move around so maybe that wouldn't be too bad. FYI, Stouffers and Marie Calender make some pretty good microwave meals too. Gourmet in the microwave!! Have a great day!!

I don’t really know how to answer this one to be quite honest lol Lance says they’re designed for single rear wheel Shortbed models, yet I’ve had one come to the dealership on a Dodge 3500 longbed dually with swingout brackets lol

Shout out to Lance. The sinks look bad, what's wrong with a stainless sink? The wet bath in this 825 looks pretty good except for all of those seams. Upgrade to a molded fiberglass wet room so peeps don't have to fight mold, mildew, and bad caulk lines. Thanks for the tour Fish n Fun Brad.

Does that require a 3/4 ton or above pickup? By the time you get full tanks plus gear, food, and the wife’s hair dryer, it’s going to pick up a few hundred pounds. What’s your recommendation re pickup GVW? Campers are great because you can still tow a boat, which of course adds to the work the pickup has to do. How bout the price? Sorry, lots of questions. Good video. I just subscribed.

This 825 would be perfect for me and the wife, but I’ll have to upgrade my truck. Don’t think I’d want to put this on a half ton Tundra.

Does this fit a 5.5 ft bed like with tailgate removed? Is there a compartment for batteries or does it run off the vehicles?

How are the campers delivered to you? Do you use your owner contractors or does the factory handle the delivery to there dealers?

They ship them on big rig flat bed trailers, we use a forklift to unload them

I have a ram 1500 Express with the 5'7 bed. Will this fit my truck and would I have to modify the truck to handle the weight?

I've got a 2015 f150 extended cab 2.7l with a 6.5 ft bed. Anyone have experience with this camper and a similar truck? I've been looking at this camper over the 650 because I'm considering living in it for a year or so. Door sticker on my truck says it's payload capacity is 1750lbs. Would adding airbags help significantly? Thank you

Airbags/Timbrens, Stableloads, extra leaf springs, sway bar, etc will help, but will not raise the Manufacturer Payload

I’m going to say up to 100lbs to play it safe as it doesn’t have a weight rating listed for the shelf bunk. Now the beefier version in the 855s and up is rated for 200lbs. So I’d say 100lbs to play it safe on this one

So do y'all recommend a 3/4 ton truck for this. The Lance website says 1/2 ton but I don't know. I got a 2002 F150 and we've been looking at getting a truck camper. The payload weight is about 1800 lbs on mine with a 6'5" bed.

Works with both models, half-tons we’ll usually add Airlift Ultimate 5k Airbags

@It’s Brad Thanks, was looking and saw some people use Timbren Suspension Kits as well. We are definitely going to get a Lance when we buy and when the time comes we will most definitely drive up to Chattanooga from here in Georgia to do so. Thanks for the good videos, enjoy them alot.

@Paul Rogers Timbrens are another good option, just not as popular with most of my customers since they are non-adjustable like the bags. But Timbrens are more popular up North due to freezing temps. Both are good options!

Hey Brad, I would like to purchase an 825 and are willing to buy a newish f-150 and add bags and better tires. We aren’t reckless would a f150 REALLY be enough? It is only a few hundred more pound than the 650x seems like rhe 825 is a better option since so close and we have the money?

For short hauls here and there, you’ll be fine with the 150, if I was going to be doing extended road trips many times a year I’d go ahead and upgrade to a 250

Lance’s website gives specs for each camper and helps match a camper for your truck. Lance 865 is next step up with an oven and you will find a couple videos of it on my channel
