It's not the brightness that makes it work in daylight. There's a special screen on the wall with a stairs top design so the top of the step blocks light and you see the projection on the bottom of the step

I can’t speak to the current quality of the brand, but by far the best audio I’ve heard, bar none were my Harmon Kardon ( I believe they were called infinity kappas?) speakers I had put into my old Honda civic like a decade or more ago. Still miss those speakers almost everyday. Also can’t speak to their projectors, I always thought they were just an audio company.

Even a little daylight doesn't hurt my flat screen TV with a projector pointed at it
